projects past and present

a small list of things picked using a d6 and d20 because i don't like talking about myself

personal project - praetorian defense solutions

praetorian defense solutions (PDS) was founded in may 2021 by myself and two longtime friends as a gaming group focused on immersive and engaging milsim experiences using arma 3. this quickly evolved into an ongoing worldbuilding project as i developed extensive background lore, setting our campaigns in an alternate version of our world that is significantly more corrupt, unstable, and militarized. this backdrop has allowed me to focus on dynamic, evolving storytelling where nations, corporations, and mercenary groups clash inside of morally gray areas, with our membership having to navigate ever-shifting alliances, political intrigue, and high-stakes operations. adding a touch of silliness to things, this has also created the opportunity for several traditions to come to life, such as our annual "thanksgiving day war" and "macho man vs. santa claus" operations.

as far as our tech goes, i constructed and maintain the group's website that serves two main purposes: showcasing our group's activities and managing our members. the site is built on the bootstrap framework and runs on a spicy mix of php, css, js, and sql to keep things functional. internally, the site handles everything from attendance tracking and awards recognition to a fully operational payroll system, because naturally, we needed a unit of currency ("lollars") to keep things interesting. asset management, event coordination, and various other features keep the group running smoothly, ensuring our operations remain organized and immersive. it’s an ever-evolving project, one that keeps me awake at night. probably should’ve picked a hobby that lets me sleep.

professional projects - elearning

over the years, i’ve handled a wide range of elearning projects, from developing training content that meets strict regulatory and legislative compliance requirements to implementing and transitioning entire learning management systems. some examples include:
